Bear Creek Mining announced that in November of this year it will start the construction works of the Corani silver project in Puno, which has an estimated investment of US$ 625 million
The Canadian mining company informed that in November it will have a concrete definition for the start of the construction of the Corani silver project in Puno. The Vice President of Corporate Development, Andrés Franco Longhi, declared that this year the company will seek the obtaining the necessary licenses and permits and, if they have good results, in 2018 the company is expected to perform the corresponding investments in the project. Currently, the company is searching of partners in Canada and in the United States for the development of the project and to obtain the investment that it demands.
The project has an estimated investment of US$ 625 million and according to the corresponding technical studies, the mine will remain in production for 18 years, generating approximately 8 million ounces of silver per year.
Evans Avendaño, general manager of Aeropuertos del Perú, stated that the company plans to make investments for a total amount of U$$ 983 million approximately over the next 5 years, the most important of which will be at the airports of Chiclayo and Piura
The manager of Aeropuertos del Perú declared that the main investments that the company is currently considering will be used for the rehabilitation of the land tracks of the airports of Chiclayo and Piura, with an investment of US$ 50 million each, during the next 18 to 24 months. The tender for the execution of the construction works at the Piura airport will begin in September and it is expected that in the coming weeks a similar tender will be announced for the Chiclayo airport.
Avendaño also stated that among the most important projects that the company plans to execute is the construction of a new terminal in Chiclayo, the extension of the land track, the construction of a platform for commercial aviation and another for general aviation; projects with an estimated total investment of US$ 340 million. On the other hand, the company is evaluating a multi-year investment plan, which will includes the project for the expansion of the Iquitos terminal.
