On August 31st, 2017, the Peruvian Private Investment Promotion Agency - ProInversión published the call for an international public tender, in the framework of the process of promoting private investment, of the project "Michiquillay Copper Mining Project" (hereinafter referred to as the "Project") (hereinafter "the Tender").
The project consists of a porphyry copper deposit with copper (Cu), gold (Au) and molybdenum (Mo) minerals. The project assets are represented in eighteen (18) mining concessions located in Michiquillay, district of La Encañada - Cajamarca, and other properties located in said district. The detailed information of the Project will be available in the database that will be enabled by ProInversión.
Any legal entity (national or foreign) or consortium that acquires the right to participate in the Tender and subscribes the corresponding confidentiality agreement, may participate in the Tender as bidders. According to the approved regulations, the bidders must comply with the accreditation of the following requirements: (i) that they are currently in mining operation; (ii) a minimum income of US$ 400 million at the end of the last annual fiscal year, due to mining operations; and (iii) a minimum patrimony of US$ 600 million. These requirements may be accredited by the bidder or one of the members (in case of a consortium), or through a subsidiary or parent company.
Those interested in participating in the Project Tender may pay the participation fee, established at US$ 2,000.00 (two thousand and 00/100 US dollars) including the IGV (tax), until October 15th, 2017. In that sense, according to the published schedule of the Tender, interested participants may submit prequalification documentation until October 16th, 2017; being November 15th, 2017 the date of presentation of the economic offer and the adjudication of project.
