SPOTLIGHT

ProInversión reported that at least 45 international companies are interested in different infrastructure projects in Peru. It also reported that it maintains a portfolio of 21 projects for the year 2018, with an estimated investment of US$ 5,244 million and 19 projects for the year 2019, for an estimated investment of US$ 12,377 million

As part of the results obtained by ProInversión after the completion of various roadshows to promote the market of infrastructure projects in Peru, the institution reported that at least 45 international companies (from Mexico, South Korea, China, Japan, Spain and Canada) maintain great interest in participating in future bidding processes of infrastructure projects. ProInversión will work to maintain the interest of these 45 companies in order to increase the list of bidders for the biding process in the future. Transport, water and sanitation, energy, hydrocarbons and health are the most important economic sectors for these companies.

On the other hand, the executive director of ProInversión, Alberto Ñecco, provided details of the project portfolio of the entity for the years 2018 and 2019. Likewise, for 2018 it was reported that the institution has a portfolio of US$ 5,244 million that includes projects such as the "Huancayo-Huancavelica Railroad", "Peripheral Ring Road", "Main Works and Conduction of Drinkable Water Supply in Lima" and various ESSALUD hospitals.

For 2019, a portfolio of projects with an estimated investment of US$ 12,377 million includes, among others, the "Line 3 and 4 of the Metro of Lima and Callao", the "Commuter Train Barranca - Chincha", private initiative irrigation projects in Lambayeque and Ica, as well as wastewater treatment plants in Sullana and Puerto Maldonado.

MONDAY 27

  • The Ministry of Housing, Construction and Sanitation presented to ProInversión a new law project with the purpose of promoting PPPs for the execution of projects of desalination plants and wastewater treatment plants (Gestión).


FRIDAY 24

  • The Organizing Committee of the Panamerican Games Lima 2019 announced that there are 7 bidders for the works of the National Sports Village (Videna) and Villa Maria del Triunfo Sport Center (Semana Económica).

  • On November 30th,  ProInversión will award the project “Tintaya - Azangaro 220kv Transmission Line" (Gestión).


THURSDAY 23

  • ProInversión reported that at least 45 international companies are interested in different infrastructure projects in Peru. WEDNESDAY 22

  • Petroperú reported that it is evaluating extending the length of its pipeline through a partnership with the Argentine company Techint, with an estimated investment of US$ 800 million, which will include the modernization of the existing infrastructure (Gestión).


TUESDAY 21

  • The Technical Agency for the Administration of Sanitation Services (OTAS) approved the transfer of US$ 5.5 million to five (5) companies that provide sanitation services (Gestión).
