SPOTLIGHT

Coelvisac informed that it is preparing the development of an electric interconnection project to improve electric supply in the province of Olmos (Trujillo)

The electricity company Coelvisac informed that next year they will develop different works to strengthen the transmission system in the agricultural area of ??Olmos (Lambayeque), which will increase power and support other projects located in the mountains of such area.

The company's proposal is to connect the Tierras Nuevas substations to Pampa Pañalá, in the Olmos project. From this substation it is expected to derive energy to the Olmos Tinajones transmission line.

On the other hand, the president of the company, Percy Ortiz Espinoza, informed that in the next 90 days they will request from the Ministry of Energy and Mines the corresponding permits for the development of a US$ 300 million thermal project in Cañete, which would start operations during the year 2020 and that would be operated by the company Sulpay. The construction works of this project would begin between June and July of 2019.

Finally, the company confirmed that it is participating in the technical studies of the Peru - Chile electric interconnection project, together with the company Enor Chile. Such studies would be ready during 2018.

MONDAY 04

  • Concesionaria Vial del Perú informed that it will develop three complementary projects to the road project “Red Vial N ° 6” (Gestión).

  • Vinci Highways reported that the project "Vía Parque Rimac" has an advance of 85% of the construction works, which would end in December of this year (Gestión).

  • Alberto Ñecco, executive director of ProInversión, said that recent technical studies have confirmed that the investment necessary for the development of the Quellaveco mining project would exceed US$ 2 billion (Gestión).

  • Carlos Neuhaus, chairman of the Organizing Committee of the Panamerican Games Lima 2019, announced that the "Villa Panamericana" project will be ready in February 2019 (Gestión).


FRIDAY 01

  • Bruno Giuffra, Minister of Transport and Communications, announced that soon it will begin the promotion of the project for the construction of the "Chosica Tunnel" in the central highway, with a length of 10 km and that will have a toll (Gestión).

  • The Ministry of Transport and Communication announced that it is expected that the project "Commuter Train Barranca - Ica" will be awarded in the next 12 to 18 months (Gestión).

  • The Ministry of Energy and Mines awarded the company Red Eléctrica del Sur S.A. the concession for the construction of the "Tintaya - Azángaro 220kV Transmission Line" project, with an investment of US$ 12 million (Gestión).

  • Edgar Quispe, executive director of the National Authority for Reconstruction, reported that the reconstruction works for the year 2018 are being coordinated with the northern regions of the country, with an estimated investment of US$ 2.5 billion (Gestión).


THURSDAY 30

  • Hydro Global Peru announced that construction of the San Gabán III hydroelectric plant will begin in January 2018, with a total investment of US$ 500 million. The construction will take place over a period of 4 years (Gestión).


WEDNESDAY 29

  • Genrent of Peru S.A.C. put into operation the "Iquitos Nueva" hydroelectric plant, which construction demanded an investment of US$ 108 million (Gestión).


TUESDAY 28

  • Coelvisac informed that it is preparing the development of an electric interconnection project to improve electric supply in the province of Olmos (Trujillo). Likewise, in the next 90 days it will submit an application for authorization to the Ministry of Energy and Mines to develop a thermal project in Cañete, with an investment of US$ 300 million (Gestión).

  • The government of Peru presented a law project to extend the term of port concessions in the country to 60 years (Gestión).
