The Peruvian government published the declaration of interest of the private initiative project "Wastewater treatment system of the Titicaca lake Basin”

The Peruvian government published on March 21 the declaration of interest of the private initiative "Wastewater treatment system of the Titicaca Lake Basin", presented by "Consorcio Aguas de Puno". This project, which will require an estimated investment of US$ 600 million, will allow the treatment of wastewater from the main districts located on the Peruvian side of the Titicaca Lake basin, as well as the recovery of the existing sanitation infrastructure.

Rubio Leguía Normand’s team, led by partners Milagros Maraví and Carlos Arata, advised the proponent consortium during the discussions with ProInversión to establish the terms and conditions that allowed obtaining the declaration of interest.

Those third parties interested in the development of the project will have a period of 90 calendar days counted from March 22nd to formally submit their interest to ProInversión.

MONDAY 26

  • The Ministry of Energy and Mines authorized Peru-Petro to subscribe 5 license agreements for the exploration and exploitation of hydrocarbons with Tullow Peru in 5 different oil lots. The investment for drilling works in each of the oil lots will require an estimated investment of US$ 250 million (Gestión).


FRIDAY 23

  • The Ministry of Economy and Finance reported that the new government will be in charge of the issuance of the regulation of Law No. 30737 and the awarding of various infrastructure projects for a total investment of US$ 2,435 million (Gestión).

  • Minera Chinalco received the approval of the Ministry of Energy and Mines for the execution of the expansion project of the "Toromocho" copper unit (Gestión).


THURSDAY 22

  • The Ministry of Economy and Finance reported that it is currently elaborating a law project that will help the priorization of infrastructure investment projects (Gestión).


WEDNESDAY 21

  • The Peruvian government published the declaration of interest of the private initiative project "Wastewater treatment system of the Titicaca lake Basin" (Gestión).


TUESDAY 20

  • Pesquera Diamante reported that it will invest at least US$ 25 million in the modernization of 4 fishmeal plants (Gestión).

  • The Organizing Committee of the Panamerican Games Lima 2019 reported that 5% of the planned infrastructure works are yet to be awarded (Gestión).
