DESTACADAS

The Prime Minister, César Villanueva, informed that the government will participate actively in the new plan to promote the "Gasoducto Sur Peruano" project, within the framework of a development plan for the southern region of the country

The new president of the Council of Ministers, César Villanueva, reported during his presentation to the Congress of the Republic the general framework of the government's plan to encourage private investment over the next few years.

In that sense, he informed that in the coming months is expected the awarding of different infrastructure projects for a total investment amount of US$ 1,800 million, which will be developed in sectors such as port, energy and telecommunications. Likewise, the premier highlighted the prompt construction of mining projects for a total amount of US$ 10,000 million, such as the Quellaveco, Mina Justa and the Toromocho expansion projects.

On the other hand, the premier informed that the government will participate actively in the structuring of the new promotion plan of the "Gasoducto Sur Peruano" project, which tender will be called and directed by ProInversión. In this regard, it was reported that this project will be structured taking into consideration other projects that seek to promote the development of the southern region of Peru. Thus, the objective of the project will not only be the transport of gas, but its transformation into fuel through the installation of the petrochemical industry in that area.

  • Termochilca reported that it is currently evaluating its participation in the tender process for energy supply for the Quellaveco mining project (Gestión).


THURSDAY 03

  • The Prime Minister, César Villanueva, informed that the government will participate actively in the new plan to promote the "Gasoducto Sur Peruano" project, within the framework of a development plan for the southern region of the country (Gestión).

  • The government reported that it is evaluating the modification of the regulation applicable to income tax, in order to encourage private investment (Gestión).

  • The Municipality of Lima will award, this month, the execution of the works for the “Costa Verde” and “Avenida Arriola” road projects, as part of the infrastructure projects plan for the Panamerican Games Lima 2019 (Gestión).


WEDNESDAY 02

  • Bear Creek Mining reported the execution of the first tranche of investment for US$ 4.5 million, corresponding to the initial construction works of the Corani mining project. The estimated investment for 2018 of the project will be US $ 15 million according to the company (Gestión).


TUESDAY 01

  • The Technical Agency of the Administration of Sanitation Services (OTAS) informed that it will proceed with transferring more than US$ 35 million this year to the water and sanitation service providers (Gestión).
