SPOTLIGHT

Veolia and FCC Aqualia reported their interest in participating in the tender for the Titicaca Lake Wastewater Treatment Plant project

ProInversión informed that it had received the expressions of interest by the companies Veolia Serivicios Perú S.A.C. and FCC Aqualia, from Spain, in order to participate in the project "Wastewater Treatment System of the Lake Titicaca Basin". These companies presented their interest on the eve of June 19, deadline for third parties to manifest their interest according to the declaration of interest published in March.

Thus, the public entity will start the bidding process for the project, in which the two aforementioned companies and the proposing company, Consorcio Aguas de Puno, will participate, as well as others companies that may be added within the term established in the regulations of the process.

As is known, the project involves the concession of 10 wastewater treatment plants, with an estimated investment of US$ 289 million.

MONDAY 25

  • The labor creditors of Doe Run Peru requested a new term to complete the purchase of assets. The creditors' meeting will decide on the request at its next meeting on July 15 (Gestión).

  • Andino Investment Holdings and Corporación América, members of the Kuntur Wasi consortium, former concessionaire of the "Chinchero International Airport" project, filed an arbitration request against Peru before the ICSID on Thursday due to the resolution of the project's concession contract (Gestión).

  • The Ministry of Economy and Finance evaluates continuing the Chavimochic III irrigation project under the public works scheme (Gestión).


FRIDAY 22

  • President Martín Vizcarra informed that the government plans to reactivate the irrigation project "Majes-Siguas II" before August 15, 2018 (Gestión).


WEDNESDAY 20

  • Veolia and FCC Aqualia reported their interest in participating in the tender for the Titicaca Lake Wastewater Treatment Plant project (Gestión).

  • Sumitomo acquired from Compañía de Minas Buenaventura 5% participation in the Yanacocha mining project for US $ 48 million (Gestión).


TUESDAY 19

  • The Peruvian government presented a new law project to accelerate the reconstruction process of the areas affected by El Niño Costero natural phenomenon (Gestión).
