Colca Hydro informed about its plans to invest US$ 37.8 million in the development of a new hydroelectric plant near the Rímac River in Lima
The company Colca Hydro S.A.C., part of the conglomerate Corporación Financiera de Inversiones (CFI), reported that it has already defined the investment and location for the development of its future hydroelectric plant.
During the second half of 2017, the company required the correspondent permits for the new project, which will be built on the banks of the Rímac River, so that to date the company has already submitted a request for its execution. The project will be located between the Huachipa bridge and the La Atarjea facilities, and will have a capacity of 15 megawatts.
The project will require an investment of US $ 37.8 million, which will be used for construction works in an area of 90 hectares located between the districts of San Juan de Lurigancho, El Agustino and Ate. It is expected that the operation term of the plant will be of 50 years.
