Tender for the third quarter of the hydroenergetic irrigation project Alto Piura

The management of the Alto Piura hydroenergy irrigation project plans to resume the tender to complete the works left pending by the Obrainsa Astaldi consortium.

It is estimated that during the third quarter of the year the new project tender may be called. For this, a consulting company will have to make a new file in order to continue the work.

In this moment, in the tunnel drilling there is an advance of two kilometers, of the thirteen that have to be done.

MONDAY 19

  • The Asian mine MMG Ltd projects an investment of US$ 400 million to US$ 500 million to put the Chalcobamba and Sulfobamba copper deposits into production at the Las Bambas operation.

  • The administration of the Alto Piura hydroelectric irrigation project plans to resume the tender to complete the works left pending by the Obrainsa Astaldi consortium. It is estimated that during the third quarter of the year the new project tender may be called.

  • Kallpa Generación obtained authorization to develop the feasibility studies related to the electric power generation activity for the future Wind Power Plant "Los Vientos", in Ica.

  • Hidrandina plans to execute several electric service projects in the areas included in its concession, investing around US$ 30 million.


FRIDAY 16

  • The Norwegian company Statkraft plans this year in a business development area oriented to wind and solar projects.

  • By 2019, the Central Reserve Bank (Banco Central de Reserva) and the Ministry of Economy  and Finance (Ministerio de Economía y Finanzas) have projected that mining investment would grow 23%, due to the development of projects such as Quellaveco, Mina Justa and expansion of Toromocho.


THURSDAY 15

  • The Supervising Suthority of the Investment in Public Transport Infrastructure, Ositran, proposes that new road concessions collect tolls only once the works are completed, and that the payment is also due to new works and not only to road maintenance work.

  • Perupetro announced that the bidding period for Lot 192 (Loreto) could be extended due to the rupture of the pipeline.


TUESDAY 13

  • Bolivian state-owned YPFB announced an investment of more than US$ 400 million in a plant and pipelines for hydrocarbons in Peru.

  • Chinese miner PPX Mining reported receiving the final permit to begin construction of its gold and silver processing plant in its Igor project, located in La Libertad.
