Percy is a Consultant for the Labor Practice Area, focusing his work on employment litigation, procedural and constitutional law and employment advisory. He also leads the firm’s international sports law and international sports finance practice from an office in Washington D.C.
Percy has a significant experience in the preparation of recruitment, employment and dismissal strategies for private employers; compliance with labor regulations, outsourcing, employment and social security litigation.
He has extensive experience in the legal and financial sports market having advised a mayor Spanish sports league in the structuring and tender of live data rights, being active consultant for for the transfer of football players to the English Premier League, structuring the first receivable based finance deal between a Spanish La Liga club and a UK Bank and currently advising the leading sports data and technology company in its operations in Latin America.
Prior to returning to Rubio Leguía Normand as a Consultant, Percy was a Senior Associate at our firm before moving to Edinburgh, Scotland, where he worked at Lombardi Associates, a niche firm specialized in sports law and London where he was an international consultant for Couchmans LLP, a leading Sports law firm in the United Kingdom.
Percy has been an active contributor to various specialized publications in sports and employment law. He was also associate editor of the prestigious UK publication World Sports Law Report (today World Sports Advocate) and was an assistant professor of employment law at Pontificia Universidad Católica.
