Green light for truck center in Ancon will be given in January

The Ministry of Transport and Communications (MTC) will approve in January 2021 the technical file of the truck center project, or tambo camionero, a state initiative that will be located in Ancon, which seeks to solve the congestion in the transit of these vehicles to the port of Callao.

The project, which consists of a public work, includes the construction of a platform for parking trucks in an area of 20.1 hectares, where these vehicles, upon their arrival to the capital from the interior, will be able to park, to wait for their turn at the port.

In this truck center, various services will be offered to the transporters, including hotels for their accommodation, security conditions for their cargo, among others.

This complex in Ancon will be connected to the Pan-American Highway North through a road interchange, and will allow carriers to move at pre-established times (by the port concessions) to the ports, to avoid congestion around these terminals and their access roads.
