Perupetro decided to extend the timing of the selection process for the award of the license agreement for the exploration and exploitation of hydrocarbons in lot 201, located in Ucayali, and whose good projection was planned to be granted on November 20, 2019. The change of the date was considered in view of the information requirements about the plot received from investors interested in participating in its auction. The plot registers a discovery of light crude of 53 ° API, in the pit named Sheshea 1X. According to the Annual Book of Resources and Hydrocarbons, the reference of the area has an estimated 5.9 million barrels as contingent resources in the Sheshea structure. The award will be granted to that company that commits the largest amount of investment for exploration work in the lot. (Diario Gestión)

  • New thermal plant in Ica will be ready at the end of 2021. The Peruvian company Gaz et L’Energie S.A.C. received the approval of its environmental impact assessment by SENACE, for the construction of a combined cycle plant to be installed in the department of Ica and which will have an investment of US $ 310 million (Diario Gestión).
  • Buenaventura expects the San Gabriel project begins construction in 2021. Compañía de Minas Buenaventura expects the San Gabriel gold project (Moquegua) begins construction between 2021 and 2022, and start operating since 2023 (Diario Gestión).
